Additional Ride Information
Motorized Vehicles
The Ride uses many motorized vehicles and operates on open roads with a variety of drivers. Always use caution around vehicles. ACT Crew can park overnight at camp; visitors may park until 9pm if space is available.
You should strongly discourage family and friends from driving along the bike route. Pulling over or honking can create a safety hazard.
Leaving the Ride
Participants who cannot finish the Ride and need to leave must inform the ACT Ride Coordinator. The ACT Ride reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone at any point during the course of the event. Return transportation expenses are solely your responsibility, but assistance may be available.
Checking Out of Camp
For temporary leave of a few hours, such as going home to sleep at night or spending time in the communities in which we stay, you must check out when you leave and check in when you return at Camp Services.
ACT Memorabilia
A limited number of ACT collectibles will be available for sale throughout the Ride. These include shirts, jerseys and sweatshirts. Other merchandise from previous rides will also be available for purchase at reduced prices. Many of you will already have these because you reached certain incentive levels, so buy souvenirs for a friend or loved one!
Email Encouragement
Note: The email will only be up and running during the week of the ride. You can write e-mails for participants ahead of time and designate which day they will be delivered. Those emails will then be posted in the evening on a special board near the cafeteria. For many participants this is the only way they communicate with people off the Ride, and all messages of support are warmly received!
Photos
As an experience to "last a lifetime" many pictures will be taken throughout the Ride. In addition to the candid photos taken by fellow Riders and Crew, designated Crew members will be taking pictures and videos, which will be available after the Ride. Photos from previous rides are also available at the photo site.
