Crew Members

The ACT Ride could not exist without the amazing work of the Crew and Day Crew. Your dedication, commitment, and compassion inspire everyone.

The Wisconsin AIDS Ride is a challenge for all participants. Together, we take on this challenge and make the Ride a terrific success. The Crew isn't simply about helping out. It is challenging your own conceptions, limits and beliefs about what it means to work together with other people.

Crew is invited to fully participate in the activities of the ACT Ride. Even if it's not your shift, show up for lunch or dinner to support and socialize with other participants.

Crew Teams

The Crew is structured into teams, with each team having a specific set of duties. Some teams will be large and may be organized into task-specific squads.

Crew Assignments

The Crew Manager assigns roles based upon on the needs of the Ride first, but we will do our best to assign your preference. Teams are filled on a first-come basis, so availability may be limited. Assignments are made for the entire Ride, but you may be asked to work on another team during the Ride based upon what needs to be done.

If you have any physical limitations, please let us know so that we can find the right team for you and make any accomodations you might need. We support each other, so please share with the ACT Ride Coordinator anything that will let you participate fully on the ACT Ride. People of all abilities and skills are encouraged to join!

Team Captains

Each Crew team has a Team Captain who is a volunteer just like you. Your captain is available to answer questions, make suggestions, hear your concerns and is a team mentor to help you make the Ride a success.
