Online Pledges

When you register for the ACT Ride you will be able to create a personal online fundraising page at the same time. This is the most convenient way to collect pledges. You should encourage your donors to visit your personalized fundraising page and donate through the site with their credit card.

Credit Card Pledges Over Time

The ACT Ride is pleased to offer your donors the opportunity to make pledges over time. This means that instead of a donor making a one-time pledge of $50, the donor can make a pledge of $250 by spreading it out over five months at $50 per month. This will allow donors to make a significant pledge without going beyond their means. Pledges can be spread over a maximum of ten months, and the minimum payment per month is $25.

Keeping Track of Offline Pledges

For those who have donors that cannot (or choose not to) pledge online, you may want to use a paper pledge form which is available on your personal fundraising webpage. If you are collecting pledges by hand, be sure to first enter them into your online fundraising page under “Track Offline Donations”. Print out the accounting report of your offline donations and either mail to or drop off the donations at the AIDS Network office.

Cash Pledges

The ACT Ride does accept cash donations in our office. If you receive cash from a donor, such as at a fundraising party, please ask if they can make out a personal check instead, or write your own check for the amount (payable to AIDS Network).

Online Reporting

By using the fundraising system through Kintera, you will be able to check your fundraising status at your convenience and track your progress.

Fundraising Deadline

You have until 12 midnight the Monday before Registration (Day Zero) to meet your minimum goal. You have an option to self-pledge to meet the minimum pledge requirement. You can pay at Day Zero or with a Visa or MasterCard and then you will have until a designated date after the Ride to raise funds before your own card is charged.
